Obituary

On February 26, 1976, purpose was fulfilled on earth. Troy Maurice Bell was born to Olen D. Bell (pre-deceased) and Francella Bell in Rockford Illinois. He was the 5th child of 5 children.

Troy always had a great love for music. He began singing in the choir at age 10, at the First Christian Church in Rockford, Illinois. Troy gave his life to Christ at the age of 16 and shortly afterwards moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma (the Bible Belt) with his family. Troy graduated from East Central High School where he played football and basketball.

He then attended Oral Roberts University in 1994 where he met his college sweetheart Katria Henderson. God called him to marry Katria in 1996 and they welcomed 6 beautiful children into the world.

In early ministry Troy served at Freedom Church as Praise and Worship Leader under Pastor Russell Cephas, Tulsa OK, where he accepted his call to ministry. He was licensed under Pastor Cephas and began to preach the gospel. He began an itinerate ministry where he loved to sing and preach across the country. Troy and Katria served at several ministries as Ministers of music over a 13- year period always knowing that there was a call on their lives to the Pastoral ministry in their hearts.

In December of 2018, Troy and Katria began Ignite Church Tulsa- formerly Kingdom Culture Ministries and Training Center, where Pastor Troy Bell  served as Senior Pastor alongside his wife Pastor Katria Bell. Pastor Troy Bell was known as the "Gentle Giant", because of his heart and love for people and his size in stature. He had a passion and heart for people and this love developed into discipleship and training leaders for the Kingdom of God. He was a respected leader and Pastor in his community, and he became a Spiritual Father and Mentor to many men and women of God that served under him in ministry.

Pastor Troy Bell became a published author of 11 books and 3 unpublished. Some titles include Secrets of Worship (Part 1 and 2), 10 Principles of Prayer: Add Revelation to your Prayer of Faith, Winning on Purpose: The Power of Potential, REPOWER and Culture Wars. Because of Pastor Troy's love for writing, he was interviewed on Trinity Broadcast Network in 2017 to speak on his literary works. He also produced and hosted a Television show on Channel 53, where he preached the Word of God. He and Katria also hosted a radio broadcast called Marriage Matters for 2 years and developed the Marriage Round Table where they both poured into kingdom couples to prosper for Kingdom advancement.

A loving Pastor, Husband, Father and friend, Pastor Troy M. Bell, Sr., in his 45th year, transitioned from his earthly house to live in celestial habitation on Thursday morning, July 15, 2021.
