Mrs. Dumas "Traveled....Unto Eternity" Wednesday Evening, August 22, 2012 from her home with her loving family surrounding her.

Patricia Ann ("Patty") Dumas was born on March 19, 1955 and was raised in Dewey, Oklahoma by her great-grandparents Roosevelt "RH" and Betty Haggerty and later by Robert and Eloise Gailes.

Patty attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Ok. In 1980, she met and married the love of her life, Rev. Donald Dumas at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Tulsa. Patty was the beloved and steadfast first lady of Deans Chapel Baptist Church in Muskogee where she served alongside her husband for 30 years. She was also the first lady of the Oklahoma Baptist State Congress of Christian Education.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; her grandmother, Mae Johnson; and her father-in-law, Q.D. Ponds.

Patty is survived by her husband Rev. Donald Dumas; three daughters Lanesha (Whitney), Ebony (Lisa Marie), and Dominica; two granddaughters Ameenah and Alyssa; her mother-in-law, LaFrances Ponds; her sister Meghann (Brady) Johnson and their three sons Brady (Jessica), Brian, and Bradley (Heather) Johnson; 9 sisters and brothers in law and their spouses, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.



Services for Mrs. Patricia Dumas will be Monday August 27, 2012 at 11AM at Greater Union Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK.

Friends may visit with Patty on Sunday from 2PM until 6PM in the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Home Chapel, Tulsa, OK .

Interment will be at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
