On July 13, 1953 a baby girl was born to Lillian Jolly and Jr. Pettit and the named her Patricia Ann Pettit, better known to friends and family as Pat.
Pat grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma where she attended Dunbar Elementary, Sadler Junior High and graduated from Tullahasee High School. She went on to pursue her education in nursing where she graduated and became a Registered Nurse then became employed with St. John Hospital for over 30 years. She then became employed with UPS until she became ill.
Later she met and married Mr. Rodney Eugene Edwards of 18 years and their union produced a baby in which she preceded in death.
Pat's time on this earth came to a close on November 16, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her loving mother & father, grandson, brother, mother-in law and brother in-law.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her spouse, Rodney Eugene Edwards; children: Ahamd (Dee) Markeith, Marcus Tulsa, OK., Dontae, South Carolina, Carlais, Oakland, CA., Rodney Jr., Seattle, WA., Aaron, Marshall, TX., Ashley Hill, Tulsa, OK., Kyna Arps, Tulsa. OK., sisters: Evaleena, Tulsa, OK., Shirlene Wright, Muskogee, OK., Denise Payne, Oklahoma City, OK. Porche Fletcher, Pam Edwards (L.A California) five brothers; Tony, Eddie, Tulsa, OK., Derrick (Robin)Muskogee OK; Donald, Los Angeles, CA., 14 grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, and with a very special friend, Janice "Weechy" Teague.

Services for Mrs. Patricia Edwards will be Saturday November 24, 2012 at 11AM at Elohim Love Center in Muskogee. Friends in Tulsa may visit Mrs. Edwards on Wednesday from 12Noon until 7PM. Friends in Muskogee may visit her on Friday from 12Noon until 6PM.
