Ms. Patricia Ann Strand, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Muskogee,Oklahoma, left this life on Monday, July 13, 2009 from her home.
On January 2, 1958, the home of Horace Clyde and Allie Mae Chandler was blessed with the birth of their 10th child, a beautiful daughter named Patricia Ann Chandler.
Patricia grew up in Muskogee and graduated from Muskogee High School in 1976. She then married David Strand, better known as " Lee T". Their union produced two sons, Tyrone and Tyree. Although their relationship ended, they remained best friends.
She later moved to Austin, Texas where she and Kenneth Littlefield produced a daughter, Latrice. Patricia relocated to Fort Worth, Texas to continue her life with Rufus McDonald, who stood with her through every trial and tribulation that came her way.
Patricia accepted Christ and was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in Muskogee on August 2, 1964. Even though Patricia did not have much, she gave to others what she did have; when they were hungry she feed them. So we know that she was loved by all.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Paul and George Chandler. Those left on earth to cherish her memory: Life Long Partner, Rufus McDonald; two sons, Tyrone Strand of Fort Worth, TX and Tyree Strand of Austin, TX and daughter, Latrice Littlefield of Mansfield, TX. Four brothers: Clyde Chandler of Lancaster, TX; Horace Eugene Chandler of Muskogee, OK; Elder Gordon Chandler of Mansfield, TX; and Elijah Chandler of Muskogee, OK. Four sisters: Wanda Chandler of Austin, TX; Letha Sallis of Edmond, OK; Brenda Reed (Tina) of Mansfield, TX; and April Hester of Tulsa, OK; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The final hour with Patricia will be on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the most sacred sanctuary of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend B. W. Noble, Senior Pastor, will Preside and Reverend Michael Collins, Eulogist.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee. You may visit Patricia, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon to 6 PM.
