Paul William Mauney, age 52, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on May 2, 2026.
Paul was born on April 4, 1974, at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, to Charles Mauney (SSG) and Shirley Mauney. He graduated from Cherokee High School in Centre, Alabama, in 1992. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.
Paul’s first duty station was Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was later stationed at Camp Casey in South Korea. After returning to the United States, he was assigned to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
In 2002, Paul was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, home of the “Screaming Eagles.” During his time there, he deployed to Iraq from 2003 to 2004, during Operation Iraqi Freedom and again from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, he was then assigned to the Pentagon and lived on Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Paul retired from the Army in 2012 as a Sergeant (SGT) and was recalled to service until 2013. Following his military career, he joined Deloitte in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After several years in Muskogee, he later made his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Paul will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Maryi Mauney; his parents, Charles and Shirley Mauney; his children, Crystal Whimpey, Jordan Mauney, Dylan Mauney, Kyler Sergio, and Jordan Sergio (SSG); his brother, Robert Mauney (Jessie); his six granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul will be remembered for his deep love of family, friends, and faith. His unwavering devotion to all he held dear will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 12:30 PM in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, between the hours of 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the All Faith's Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors,Inc.
Floral Arrangements will be accepted on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 10AM - 5PM in Tulsa.
