Mr. Phillip Anthony Thompson, Sr., in his 63rd year, "made his way to the Other Side" on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Phillip was born May 23, 1957, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Fairy Lou Thompson and John Burkhalter. Phillip graduated from Muskogee High School in 1975.

Phillip loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He worked many places but most recently he worked at Nordam in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Phillip loved spending time out on his boat with his family, golfing with his brother in law, and smoking ribs on the weekend for family gatherings or just because. Phillip could talk to anyone and enjoyed making new acquaintances with people he met throughout his life. Everyone knew him as the sweetest man they had ever met but his family also knew him as the man who could trash talk better than anyone else. He had a huge heart, his laugh was contagious, and his voice could be heard for miles.

Phillip was proceeded in death by both of his parents and his son in law Albert Haynes Jr. He was survived by his wife, Clarice Thompson; his sister, Almeta Jones (Lawrence Jones); his brother, Tony Burkhalter; his 5 children, Phillip Thompson Jr., William Thompson (Donique Ford), Shantel Haynes, Phylicia Whitebuffalo (Tashina Whitebuffalo), and Cordero Thompson (Alexis Ardery); and his 12 grandchildren, Xavier, Javion, Alasia, Kaden, Kiren, Jaylen, Xandar, Albert III, Oliver, Emily, Natalia, and Alexander; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Service of Memory for Mr. Thompson will be held on Friday, June 26,2020 at 1:00 PM in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee.  Pastor Aundre Jones, Pastor of Old Agency Baptist Church, will officiate.
