Rachel Marie Sheppard was born inMuskogee on Jan. 20, 1941, to Rentie Rennie and Bessie Vernon Canard.
In September of 1956, she married Claude Sheppard, Jr., and together, they had 3 children. She worked as a glass inspector for Corning Glass for 17 years and was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
She leaves behind; her loving husband, Claude Sheppard, Jr.; her children, Sheila Marie, Claude III and Gerald Alvin; her grandchildren, Brandi Marie, Kaylah Marie, Olive Marie, Drue Kenneth, Claude IV and Sharonda Gail; great-grandchildren, Olivia Marie, Alyiah Marie, Claude Kobe, Kelton Kareem, Xzavion Cortez, Shamiah Marie and Mariah Ann; along with other relatives and friends.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Muskogee.
