Obituary

SGM Ralph Glen Busby, Jr., was born on April 30,1932 in Los Angeles, California from the union of the late Ralph Glen Busby, Sr., and the late Madres Laura Busby.
He enlisted in the United States Army following his high school graduation in 1949 and served his Country honorably for 30 years before his retirement in 1980.  He met and married Frances M. Warren on June 15, 1977 and made his home in Okmulgee.  He was also a carrier for the Okmulgee Daily Times for 15 years.
Mr. Busby passed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2014 from his home.  He leaves to cherish his memory;  his loving wife, Frances M. Warren, of the home in Okmulgee;  his sons, David P. [Gioia] Busby, St. Louis, Missouri and Gerald J. Warren, Kansas City, Missouri and Edward P. Busby, Columbia, Missouri;  an honorary son, Gary Goree, Okmulgee;  his daughter, Sherry Thrower, Los Angeles, California; his step-children, Gerald J. Warren, Kansas City, Missouri, Janet Zachary Russell,Oklahoma City, and Joyce Powdrill, Maple Grove, Minnesota;  15 grandchidlren and one great-granddaughter; along with other relatives and many friends and customers who will remember his presence.

The Final Salute will be given on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Greater Praise and Worship Ministies, 1316 East 4th street in Okmulgee.  Pastor Rudelle Israel Brown, Sr., Pastor, will officiate, followed by Burial with Full Military Honors at 1:00 PM in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. You may visit Mr. Busby, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
