Ramona Kay Mondragon, affectionately known as "Red," passed away on May 12, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at the age of 74.

Ramona was born in February 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Katie Mae Harrison and Louis Downing.

She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Ramona is survived by her daughter Aldora "Tiny" Mondragon and son-in-law Reginald; her sister Betty Downing; and her cherished grandchildren: Kyla McGee Thomas (Shade), Kylen "Bubba" McGee, Romello Smith, Ramone Smith, Rayvn Smith, Rhuson Smith, Kalacee Mondragon, and Ayden Mondragon.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Destiny Mondragon-Smith and Aurelia Johnson, son Cuauhtemoc Benjamin Mondragon, her sister Billie Hardrick, and her brothers Louis and Charles Downing, and Harry Worthy.

Known lovingly as "Meme" to her grandchildren, Ramona had a passion for family and a heart for hospitality. She loved to entertain, laugh, and bring people together—never meeting a stranger and always welcoming others with warmth and joy.

Ramona's memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.

The Celebration of Life for Ramona will commence on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Okmulgee County OSU Extension Center, located at 1901 N. Oklahoma Avenue| Okmulgee, Ok 74447.

You may visit Ramona Kay, as as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

The Christian Committal will immediately follow the services in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
