Obituary

Mr. Randy Joe Flint, in his 57th year, joined the "Brotherhood Chorus in Glory" on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Porta Caeli House from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Randy Joe Flint, 57, was born March 2, 1960 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Elizabeth (Betty) Flint Jones. He was raised by his loving mother Elizabeth, his father Nathaniel Jones and his loving grandparents Tommie and Lovine D Gentry.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Randy was raised with his sister Demetrice "Dee Dee" (Terry) Tuggle, Okmulgee, OK; Rhonda Simpson, Atlanta, GA; Sylvia (Bryan) Cooper, Plano, TX and his cousins who were more like his brothers (Steven Brooks-Deceased), Joe Golden, and Anthony (Tony) Bird. Later in life he got to know his sister LaVone Moore, Houston, TX and also became close with his brother Keith Jones Baldwin - Tulsa, OK.

Randy gave his life to the Lord as a teenager and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1979. After graduation Randy worked at Alliance Wall in Okmulgee until he moved to Kansas City, MO. Once in Kansas City he worked as a Security Guard for over 25 years. Randy returned to Okmulgee in 2010. Shortly after returning home to Okmulgee he joined St. Matthews Church and became a member of both the Brotherhood and Senior Choir. He loved his St Matthews Church family!

Randy is survived by his father, sisters, brother, cousins, nephews, nieces and host of other friends and relatives.

The Celebratory Worship Service in his memory will commence on Saturday morning, July 15, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the most holy sanctuary of St. Matthew Baptist Church.  His Pastor, Reverend McKinley Rice, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.

You may visit Randy, as he slumbers in peaceful repose in the Chapel of Peace at the funeral home in Okmulgee on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.
