Obituary

On July 25, 1936, in Spiro, Oklahoma, a baby boy was born to Willie Blaine and Louisa Dansby. They named him Ray Junior Blaine.

The family later moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where he attended Grant Elementary School. He professed his life to Christ at an early age, and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he met Karen Wilson. They were married and their union produced two sons, Billie Ray Wilson and Ray Blaine, Jr.

Mr. Blaine gained employment with Wells-Fargo as a guard and later began to work for Corn Products until his retirement. He then moved to Muskogee, where his health began to fail. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing and would keep you laughing.

He closed his eyes on earth but woke up in Paradise on July 18, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, nephews, brother and 2 wives.

He leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Billy Ray, Kansas City, Missouri and Ray J. [Stephanie], Muskogee, Oklahoma; three daughters, Regina, Lisa and Carrie [Joe], all of Kansas City, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, including Trina, Stan, Denorvel, Chauncy, Donna, Dwayne, Lucretia, Kenny, Lashone, Chiquitta and Chekira; other relatives and friends.

The Final Salute will begin at High Noon on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in the Sanctuary of the Old Agency Baptist Church. Pastor Marlene Jones will officiate and Reverend Delbert Josey will deliver the Eulogy.

Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
