Mr. Raymond Benson Teague, Sr., after 72 years, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Administration Regional Medical Center in Muskogee.
Raymond lived on this earth 72 years. He was born on December 14, 1944 to Albert V. Teague and Muggie James in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the second of three children in the family. His early education began in the Muskogee Public School system and continued throughout completing historic Manual Training High School.
Soon after, he was called on to join the United States Army, where he received many medals and awards for his service in Vietnam prior to his Honorable discharge from service.
Raymond was blessed to have three children during his life; Darryl Nelson [Corin], Ryamond Teague, Jr., [Fonda Ellis] and Raymond Teague, II. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. As time passed, Raymond realized he did not want to go through life alone without the love of his life, Barbara M. Teague, his one and only wife.
Raymond may be gone but he will never be forgotten. Mr. Teague was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara M. Teague, his mtoher, Muggie Teague, his father, Albert V. Teague, Sr., his brother, Albert V. Teague, Jr., and his sister, Barbara Teague.
He leaves behind, in addition to his children, his grandchildren, Courtney Teague, Davne Teague, De"Ney Teague, James Bruce, Darryl Nelson, Jr., Allen Nelson; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Teague, Zoey Teague and Israel Nelson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a caravan of friends.
Service of Remembrance for Mr. Teague will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Remembrance of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. Reverend Gary Hall, Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
