Ms. Rechonda Samuel in her 40th Precious Season on the Earth, peacefully Traveled to Rest Monday Morning February 15, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

"Shawnee"

On August 10, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma a beautiful baby girl was born to Hershel Samuel and Diane Turner and they named her Rechonda. Family and friends referred to Rechonda as "Shawnee". At a very young age she was fun, fearless, and beautiful person. Rechonda was raised by her father and grandparents.
She grew up with her older sister Eleanor Samuel. Shawnee got her education from Emerson Elementary, Wilson Middle School, Central High School where she was very popular and well known and also developed a name for herself as a hair stylist.
Rechonda welcomed a beautiful baby girl at the age of 18 and named her Mickale Samuel. The two were inseparable. Known for her creativity Rechonda took on a position as a hairstylist while working her full time job, while doing so she made sure you looked beautiful when you stepped out her chair. She later went to cosmetology school to further her expertise in hair, nails, and make-up.
Shawnee could light up a room with her beautiful smile and cheerful personality, and she took in anyone, welcoming them with a big heart and open arms. If you ever needed a good home cooked meal Shawnee's house was the place to be, but you would more than likely have to stay over a few hours because the meal would put you to sleep. Shawnee's heart was so big and caring, that she started a daycare to be able to look after children.
At the age of 29 Rechonda welcomed a little boy to this world and she named him Mekhi Samuel, and two years after that she welcomed another beautiful son who she named Abel Ladd.
Rechonda loved the Lord and was a very church going young woman. She shared everything with friends and family, and loving and caring to all that came in contact with her. Words could not express how big her heart was and how warm and funny she was. She was extremely close to her father and children whom she loved dearly. Shawnee touched everyone with her beautiful spirit and will be deeply missed.
Rechonda leaves to cherish her memories: her parents, father Hershel Samuel, mother Diane Turner, her children; a daughter Mickale Samuel, Mekhi Samuel, and Abel Ladd of the home. Two brothers and one sister and a host of other relatives and friends.

You may visit Ms. Samuel at our Tulsa location between the hours of 1-7 pm.

Services will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church on February 27, 2016 at 10 o'clock am.
