Ms. Regina Faye Johnson, after 59 seasons of life, "took flight with Angels to thine place of rest" on Monday evening, August 17, 2020 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

On February 4, 1961, an Angel was delivered to Sylvia LEe Ruff and Vernon Johnson in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They named their bundle of joy Regina Faye Johnson.

Regina attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where she graduated with the proud Class of 1979. she later worked as a CNA and CMA, rendering her services faithfully at Okmulgee Miami Terrace Nursing Home and Grace Living Center of Jenks, Oklahoma.
Later in life, she found a man from Tullahassee, Oklahoma, Scott Buyckes, and they shared time together in Okmulgee. They were blessed with her one and only child, a son, Ja'Quan Jamal Buyckes.

Regina didn't think she could get pregnant. She got pregnant at the age of 38. When she became pregnant, she told JaQuan's Godmother, Jackie Johnson, Joyce Dixon and many others who shared in her joy. She had a wonderful nephew and niece she loved dearly, Anthony Robers and Micayla Ruff.

Remaining to cherish her memory; her son, Ja'Quan Buyckes, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; her mother, Sylvia Lee Ruff, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; her siblings, Angie Roberts, Darrell Ruff [Sheri], Gwen Ellis, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tracey Johnson, Dallas, Texas, Evangeline Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Rufus Furch, Beggs, Oklahoma; a loving uncle, Jasper Brown; an aunt, Gloria Dean Overstreet; a special friend and godmother to her son, Jackie Johnson, joyce Dixon, Raynell Ray, Tina Woods, Natasha Herrington, Antionette Alexander and Loretta Rice; as well as a caravan of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Her Celebratory Worship Service honoring her life will commence on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Okmulgee.  Pastor Judson Fields, Pastor, will officiate.  The Christian Committal will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
