The Reverend Leman Lewis, Sr., after "Four-Score and One years" made his way to Heaven on Tuesday afternoon, May 27, 2025 from his home in Okmulgee.

Reverend Lewis was the former Pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Holdenville, Oklahoma and was a loyal team member of the Harlin Ford Motor Company in Okmulgee, retiring as the Automotive Service Manager.  He was also passionate and vested in the revitalization and remodeling of the Okmulgee Colored Hospital on 3rd and Wood Drive in Okmulgee.

A devoted father, grandfather, friend and community leader, the proud Dunbar High School Graduate will be missed by all who shared time with him during his life.

You may visit Pastor Lewis, as he slumbers in peaceful repose in the Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee on Friday, June 6, 2025 between the hours of 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

The Celebratory Service honoring the life and service of Pastor Lewis will commence on Saturday morning, June 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the St. Matthew's Baptist Church.  Reverend McKinley Rice, Senior Pastor, will Preside.

The final salute will take place on Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025, beginning promptly at 11:00 AM in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with military honors.
