Mr. Ricky Thierry, in his 54th season, Slipped into Eternal Rest, on Friday, January 11, 2013.

On March 23, 1958, Christine Thierry welcomed her newborn son into the world in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and she named him Rickey.


Rickey, a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where he graduated with the Okmulgee Senior High School Class of 1977. He then enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country honorably from March of 1980 until May of 1984.


He made a living working as a plumber. Rickey spent his free time cooking, a skill he really enjoyed. He also loved animals, owning horses, dogs and also fish. He also spent time fishing and hunting whenever he could.


He leaves to cherish his memory; his companion, Rosalind Reagan; his children, Terri Thierry, Rickey Thierry, Jr., Ebony Thierry, Arelia Thierry, Sherri Thierry, Carrie Thierry and Cory Thierry; his sister, Marilyn Colbert; a grandson, Pierre Thierry; along with other relatives and friends who will miss him.

A Memorial Ceremony will be shared on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Peace at the funeral home in Okmulgee.

Reverend Gregory Richardson, Pastor of Conversion Ministries, will officiate.
