Obituary

Mr. Robert Preston Clarke, a resident of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Muskogee, transitioned from earth to everlasting on November 18, 2009 in Denver.

He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 12, 1953, the son of Quinton Wesley Clark and Dorothy Mae McAfee.

At an early age, he moved with his family to Oklahoma, where he grew up and attended school in Muskogee. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age, and attended St. Mark Baptist Church.

Robert excelled in boxing and was a skilled carpenter and handyman. He was a self employed carpenter in the construction industry throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Francis Clarke. Remaining to continue his legacy; hi ssons, Tyreece [Shalana] Buchanan, Broken Arrow, OK, and Phillip Clarke, Wichita, KS; his daughters, KaTrina Constantine, Detroit, MI and Darla Griffith, Houston, TX; his brothers, Paul Owens, Muskogee, OK, Butch Clarke, Tulsa, OK and Tony Clarke, Grandview, KS; his sisters, Regie Clarke and Renee' Clarke, both of Muskogee, OK and Zelma Clarke, Granview, KS; eleven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The farewell will be on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. B. W. Noble, the gracious host Pastor and Rev. L. E. Loggins, Officiating. Burial will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
