Robert Eugene
Clayton
June 4, 1957 – March 10, 2026
Robert was born on June 4, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Jurlene Hubert and Russell Clayton, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Gene Clayton, Russel Clayton, Jr., Karen Kay Cafee, and Margaret Ann Clayton.
Robert spent his early years in Wichita, Kansas, and later moved with his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a teenager. He attended McLain High School, where he lettered in swimming, showing both discipline and determination from an early age.
Robert was a hardworking man with an entrepreneurial spirit. He owned his own cabs, which operated in service with My Cab and City Cab. During that chapter of his life, he met the love of his life, Cassie, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and commitment for nearly 40 years.
Robert had a true passion for semi-trucks and later became an over-the-road truck driver. Trucking was more than a job to him. It was something he truly loved. His passion inspired many in his family to follow in his footsteps, including his brothers, his son, his nephew, and his grandson. He continued driving for as long as he was able, doing what he enjoyed and leaving a lasting mark on those who watched his example.
Robert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet influence, and the love he had for his family. He leaves behind precious memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Cassie; his children, Sha-Rhonda (Darick), BJ (Shanna), and Adrion (RaeNashia), all of Oklahoma; his siblings, Richard Clayton of Mansfield, Texas, Earnest Clayton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jurlene (Rick) Foster of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Edward (Sophie) Clayton of Crowley, Texas, Kevin Clayton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Steven A. Clayton of Palmdale, California; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Eleventh hour in the Destiny Life Church - Owasso, Oklahoma.
