Robert "Scooby"
Lewis Warren, Sr.
December 13, 1959 – August 6, 2021
On December 13, 1959, in Dallas, Texas a baby boy was born to Edna Mae Warren. He was given the name Robert Lewis Warren. The family made their home in Dallas, Texas. Robert was the middle child of three children. At an early age he was given the nick name of Scooby. Robert attended Dallas Public schools.
After high school, Robert enlisted in the United States Army. After he was Honorably discharged from the Army, he made his way to Muskogee Oklahoma. He loved to hunt and fish. Scooby worked for Deep Fork Community Action for 10 years. Robert worked part time for the Wagoner County Sheriff's Department Reserve Unit as a Deputy Sheriff for 5 years. Robert was employed by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for 15 years until his death.
Robert met his soulmate, Ida L. Brown, on a blind date in 1979. After several marriage proposals they were married April 10, 1981 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They lived in Dallas, Texas for a short time and moved back to Muskogee. During their union they were blessed with two children, a daughter, Nicole Lorraine Warren and a son, Robert Lewis Warren, Jr. Robert was a no nonsense kind of guy. He would help you get on your feet but it came with some friendly but stern advice. He always said "you can't fix stupid. Scooby loved to spoil his two grandchildren, They were the light of his life. Robert and Ida were married for 40 years.
Friday, August 6, 2021, Robert closed his eyes forever in eternal sleep with his loving wife and son by his side.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father in law James Brown Sr and Ida Brown, daughter, Nicole Warren, his grandparents Eddie
and Essie Banks, cousins Ron and Karen Ridge, aunts Frances Banks and Evelyn Lockhart. Uncles Ernie, Benjamin, Eddie Jr, Sammy, Glover, and Robert Banks. Brothers in law, James Brown, Jr., and Michael Watson.
He leaves in God's care his wife Ida L. Warren of the home, his son, Robert Warren, Jr., his grandchildren, Kai Lewis Warren and Vivienne Lynn Warren. His mother, Edna Mae Warren, and his sister, Gwen Watson, from Dallas, Texas, brother Anthony (Donna) Warren, from Royce City, Texas. sister-in-law, Paula (Stacy) McGee of Muskogee, Ok; brother-in-law, Paul Brown of Muskogee, Ok; nieces, Vanessa (Alvin) Johnson of Desoto, Texas, Erica Smith and Sheniqua Warren of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Benjamin Warren of Dallas, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Service of Memory for Mr. Warren will be on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Rooshawn Pratt is the gracious host and Reverend David Ragsdale, will officiate. Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
You may visit "Scooby" as he slumbers in peaceful repose in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
