Robert B. Manuel was born on August 7, 1927 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to his parents Frank & Robbie Manuel. He was the 1 of 12 siblings. His parents, Frank Manuel and Robbie Greer preceded him in death.

On June 15, 1950, Burt married the love of his life Theressa E. Manuel in Wichita, Kansas. Their marriage produced 64 loving and blessed years. In 1953 the family moved to Los Angeles, California where Burt was employed as an Electronics Technician with Rockwell International. His work spanned all the NASA manned space missions from Gemini through the Space Shuttle.

After retirement, the family moved to Okmulgee, OK where he continued to enjoy his hobbies of electronics and photography. Family was very important to Burt and he spent countless hours detailing the family history and preserving old photographs for family members. He was also very involved in the Jones Family Reunion committee over many years.

On Thursday, October 9th 2014, Burt was called home and leaves to honor his memory his sons; Ramon Risby of Tulsa, Robert B Manuel Jr. (Gail) of Long Beach CA, Michael Manuel of Pomona CA, Kerwin Manuel (Silvia) of Seattle WA. Daughters; Rena Manuel of Seattle WA, Latricia Risby of Independence MO, Ivy Manuel-Jones (Richard) of Okmulgee OK. His sisters, Nadine, Jaun, Mary Ellen, Carolyn and Shirley. Grandchildren: Dianne, Jade, Kevin, Kevin M., Shaundra, Ricky, Justin, Alisha, Robert (Bo) Manuel III, Miya, Michelle, DeAnna, Anne, David, Jacob, Alyssa and Cicely. 22 Great Grand children and countless other reletives and friends who will all look forward to being graced with his precense at our promised reunion at the END!

The Hour of Remembrance for Brother Manuel will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:30 PM in the St. Mary's
Christian Center in Okmulgee.
