Obituary

On January 1, 1943, in Boynton, Oklahoma, a bouncing, baby boy was born to Robert and Cordia Scott. They named him Robert Scott, Jr.

Robert was raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church. He attended Muskogee Public Schools and excelled in commercial cooking.

As a young man, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he resided for 20 years. Upon returning to Muskogee, he was employed with Brockway Glass until he relocated to Oklahoma City, where he was employed with Evans Furniture. During this time in his life, he was blessed with a son, Robert Scott, III.

In the early 1980's, he rededicated his life to Christ. Robert later returned to Muskogee, where he was employed with the Senior Citizens Nutrition Center, as well as a Certified Nurse Aid for Grace Living Center.

In April of 2001, he married Marsha Young and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked as a CNA for University Village Nursing Home. He retired from labor in January of 2005.

Robert left this life for a life eternal on December 21, 2005 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, along with one infant brother.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful personality and charm; a devoted wife, Marsha, of the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sons, Robert Scott, III, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Lee Young, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his daughter, Verna Grayson, of the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; many other children whose lives he impacted as a father figure; two sisters, Maggie Hemphill [Hurley], Salisbury, North Carolina and Angela Diane Dawson, Lawrenceville, Georgia; three brothers, Larry and Roderick Scott, Kansas City, Missouri and Dale Scott, Atlanta, Georgia; two nephews, Willie and Kevin Puckett; a niece, Corutney Stephens; a brother/cousin, Maurice Hodge; a sister/cousin, Collotta Graham; three special friends, Cora Mae Starnes, Frances Deloney and Jesse Deloney; a host of cousins, relatives and friends to be continued in the presence of the Lord.
