Rochelle Denise [McDade] Dickerson, in her 47th year, surrendered this life for a life eternal on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She arrived in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on October 12, 1961, the daughter of Clarence and Olivia [Williams] McDade. Rochelle grew up in Okmulgee, where she attended the public school system, ultimately graduating from Okmulgee Senior High School with the Prestigious Class of 1980.
She united in Holy Matrimony with Chris Dickerson and their union produced one son. Her Christian journey came by way of the Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she served the Lord under the Pastoral guidance of Reverend David Burks. She was a member of the Women's Mission until her health would no longer permit.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
She leaves in God's care; her son, Cameron Dickerson, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; three sisters, Annette Crosby, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Trisha McDade and April McDade, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, Clarence McDade, III and Winfred McDade, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mark McDade, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends who will miss her presence.
The Farewell Tribute will be on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Reverend David Burks, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Beggs City Cemetery.
