On Jan. 24, 1978, a baby boy was born to Jamesetta Russell and Robert Green Sr. He was named Roderick DeShawn Roberts. He was the youngest of 6 siblings.


Roderick accepted Christ at an early age and attended Muskogee Public Schools, graduating from Muskogee High School. He also attended Indian Capitol VoTech.


After 30 seasons, Rod went home to be with the Lord. He answered the call from God on Thursday, July 3, 2008.


He leaves to lament his homegoing; his mother, Jamesetta Russell; his siblings, Marjorie Byrd, Desi Roberts, Charles [Claudia] Roberts, Ellishea Roberts; a special niece, Blake Titsworth; a brother, Robert Green, Jr.; along with other relatives and friends.


You may visit Rod, as he slumbers at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The final hour with Roderick will be on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Divine Love Christian Fellowship. Pastor Michael Weber, Senior Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
