On March 27, 1967, a bundle of joy was delivered to Roy Lee Williams and Mattie Hackett in Idabel, Oklahoma. They named their bundle of joy Rodney Mantez. The family relocated to Tulsa where he received his education through the public school system. He was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend. Rodney lit up a room with his radiant smile and jovial laughter. He never complained about anything! His humorous view on life was contagious and time spent in his presence was full of fun. Rodney never met a stranger; his faithfulness to his family was far beyond his love. His mother preceded him in death. Remaining to cherish his precious memories and celebrate his life: his daughter, Ashton Sampson, two sisters: Jackie Vaughn (Randy), Temiko Samuels (Keith), three brothers: Kenneth, Timothy, and Troy, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Services will be graveside at Crown Hill Cemetery at 10AM on Saturday April 18, 2009.
