Obituary

On October 11, 1950 a beautiful baby boy was born to the late Herbert and Essie Collins. He was given the name Ronald Richard Collins. He was also known by many as Danny Boy.

He was somber, intelligence and very quiet. Ronald loved the family homestead and greatly enjoyed his time with his younger brother Michael as they worked there. He was admired for his work ethics, his straight forwardness and his clear perception.

Ronald was a devoted husband he was attentive and caring of Joyce the love of his life. At an early age Ronald was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center, Okmulgee County. He attended Anderson Elementary School and Liberty Morris High School and graduated in 1969. During his high school years, he was a basketball standout while assisting his dad on the family farm.

Ronald graduated from Okmulgee Tech with a degree in Television Electronics. Ronald worked at Oral Roberts Ministry for over 40 years. He became interested in a childhood friend Joyce Jefferson, they were married August 13, 1978. Their union produced two loving children Stacie and Ronald Jr.

Ronald was confident of his salvation in Christ. Isaiah 43:19 says God will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Thursday morning April 2, 2015 Jesus dispatched his Angels to guide Ronald through the path way Jesus had already prepared for him to his final destination resting in the Arms of Jesus.

Preceding Mr. Collins in death by his parents Essie and Herbert Collins Sr., sister Betty Hutton, brother Elegene Collins. He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life; his wife Wanda Joyce, daughter Stacie (Marcus), Tulsa, Oklahoma, son, Ronnie Collins, Tulsa, Oklahoma, sisters; Alberta Collins, Edna (Arthur Sr.) Panell, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ruby Griffin, Amarillo, Texas , and Norma Nickerson, Denton, Texas, brothers: Herbert Collins, Sr. Tulsa, Oklahoma, Michael Collins (Marcia), Tulsa, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Brittany Mays, MarKeisha Mays, and Marcus Mays, Jr. all of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Ronald Collins will be held Friday April 10, 2015 at 11am at World Won for Christ.

Friends may visit Mr. Collins on Thursday from 10AM until 7PM in Tulsa.
