Obituary

Ronny W. Washington was born on February 29, 1964, along with his twin, Lonny Wayne, to the family of James A. Washington and Lucille Johnson Washington in Lawton, OK. Ronny was the elder twin (by 5 minutes) and one of five siblings. The remaining four siblings are Lonny, Willie Ray, James, Jr., and Jean. His father James preceded him in death.
Ronny received his formal education in the Lawton Public School system, culminating with his graduation from Eisenhower Senior High School in Lawton. Upon graduation, he worked at Good Year Tire and Rubber Plant and Ft. Sill Army Base.
Ronny moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1986. While working as a waiter at Red Lobster, he waited on Bishop Carlton Pearson, and was able to get his autograph. Eventually, Ronny became a member of Higher Dimension. He volunteered at the AZUSA Conferences, and helped the homeless and less fortunate get into a place they could call home and receive appropriate medical care. The name of the home is "Ronny's Place of Hope," founded by Lonny Washington.
Ronny then moved to California where he enrolled in Long Beach City College and started his acting and modeling career, which included stand-by parts in projects with Janet Jackson and Tom Hanks. His modeling, along with his twin Lonny, covered fashion shoots with Vogue Magazine and Ebony Fashion Show in Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA.
In 2001, Ronny returned to Tulsa and united with Higher Dimensions Family Church. Shortly thereafter he became aware of the liver disease that would eventually require a liver transplant. He was a valiant, faithful fighter who refused to give in or give up.
Ronny was an inspiration to those around him. He transitioned into life on Monday, October 1, 2007, while recuperating from a broken hip.
Those left to cherish her memory: Mother, Lucille Washington (Tulsa, OK); Brothers: Willie Ray Johnson (Oklahoma City, OK); Lonny Washington and James Washington, Jr. (Tulsa); one sister—Jean Washington (Tulsa); numerous aunts and uncles from the Johnson and Washington families; nieces and nephews: Kim, Brheanna, and Brooklyn Sargent; Nicholas and Dustin Washington; Bell Johnson, and Edwaro Sargent (deceased); grand nephews: Dustin Washington, Jr. and Dante Washington; and Ronny's deceased baby girl who preceded him by crib death; and a host of other relatives and friends.
