I Fought The Good Fight, I Finished My Course, I Have Kept My Faith
On July 31, 1940 a bouncing baby girl was born to Helen Willis Estell and Willie D. Edwards. They named her Rosalind Marie Edwards. She excepted Christ at an early age joining the Pilgrim Baptist Church of Omaha, Nebraska. Rosalind was a product of Tulsa Public Schools graduating from Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1959. While in Oklahoma she met and married her love Hugh Melvin Johnson.
Preceding her in death, her late husband Melvin, mother Helen (Jackson) Estell, father Willie D. Edwards, son Gregory Craven, sister Renita, Aunt Sadie Calhoun, Niece Katherine Burton, and nephew Phillip Jackson. Those memories that are left to be cherished by: two daughters, Denise Craven and Carolyn Phillips both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two sisters Patsy Ware and Monica Ballard (Steve) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brothers Kenneth Jackson Tuscon, Arizona and Arnett Cherry (Lillian) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Five Grandchildren; Latisha, Kimberly, LaToyia, Jasma, and Arnisha, Eighteen great-grandchildren, and A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, & friends.
