Rosalind Annette McHenry, in her 44th season, surrendered her soul on Saturday morning, April 17, 2010 from Bixby, Oklahoma.
On May 26, 1965, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a beautiful bundle of joy was born to Robert "Ruff" Alexander and Marilyn [Alexander] Robinson. She was raised in Haskell with her siblings. She attended and graduated from Haskell High School. Rosalind went on to marry and in later years, divorce. From this union, she was blessed with seven beautiful children.
April 17, 2010 at 2:30 AM, the Lord called on his Angel to come on home. Rosalind was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn and step-father, George Robinson, a brother, Robert "Robbie" Alexanders along with her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Rosalind is survived by her father, Robert Alexander and step-mother, Marion [Alexander] Nichols; her children, Neshida Alexander, Coweta, Oklahoma, Steven and wife Jada Sharel Alexander, Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Darell, Maruice, Shantel, Rosalind and Angelic McHenry, all of Coweta, Oklahoma; a step-son, Steven Sanchez McHenry, Boynton, Oklahoma and a step-daughter, Shavon Drew, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Diane Johnson and Mary Steele, Coweta, Oklahoma; a brother, Anthony Alexander, Haskell, Oklahoma; two step-brothers, Danny Lee Kesler, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, James Lewis Morgan, Arkansas and a step-sister, Mary [Morgan] Hill, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; a half-brother, Eric Watson, and a half-sister, Pam Henderson; her grandchildren, Tyleigh, Nate and Steven Alexander and Addison McHenry; also, Aunt Patricia Gist and many extended family and friends.
Rosalind was a kind-hearted and gentle soul who devoted her life and love to her children. She also loved and cared for everyone around her. Even if someone was to do wrong by her, she would still embrace them with her love. Rosalind was always helping others and wouldn't hesitate to give her last. Rosalind is loved with a love that will always remember and will always be grateful for the many ways she cared and loved.
The Memorial Ceremony will be on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Wilson Chapel CME Church, Coweta, Oklahoma. Reverend Curtis Leland will Preside
