Rosie Mae Clemons was born July 2nd, 1950 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Alonzo and Jeanetta Spencer. She was the second child of this union. Her brother, Alonzo Spencer Jr., preceded her in death. Rosie Mae completed her education in Muskogee public school and after graduating from Manuel Training High school she moved to Tulsa. In 1971 Rosie became the mother of twin girls. Tanisha and Telisha and later a boy Christopher Lloyd and another daughter in 1979 Brandy was born. Rosie was a good mother, she loved and nurtured her children and became the community mother for her neighborhood, Rosie worked for Tulsa Public Schools and retired after 15 years.
Rosie joined and attended Pine Street Christian Church. She loved the Lord and shared her beliefs with those she came in contact with.
Rosie's health begin to fail in 2016. She never lost her faith in God during her struggle and she was a SOLDIER until the end. Rosie departed this life on November 14th, surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves to mourn her children, Tanisha (Kenneth) Jackson, Telisha (Shaquan)Lawrence, Christopher Lloyd Clemons, Brandy Chaplin, another son whom she loved Monty Hollins, 13 Grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her life's celebration will commence on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Pine Street Christian Church. Pastor Brenda Denson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee. You may visit Rosie, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the funeral home in Tulsa on Monday from 12 Noon until 7:00 P.M.
