"Reflections of His Life"
It all began in Tulsa, Oklahoma in December 11, 1965 when Roy Anthony Lyons, Sr. and Myretha Bland celebrated the birth of a tiny baby boy. That son was named Roy Anthony Lyons, Jr. He would affectionately gain the name of "Lil Bit."
Roy received his formal education from the Tulsa Public Schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma, culminating with his graduation from McLain High School with the Class of 1984. While still in high school, Roy became gainfully employed at the TG&Y store in North Tulsa. After graduation, he began working at Tulsa Poly Firm, and would eventually accept a position at Tulsa Public Schools in the Maintenance Department and moved up to a successful position as a Building Grounds Site Supervisor at Houston Elementary, the same school he received his elementary education.
Roy met and married the love of his life, Kristal Johnson and they are the proud parents of five children. Most importantly, Roy was a man who loved and treasured his family. He enjoyed family gatherings. He was considered one of the great chefs of the family, an expert on the grill. He also loved cars. In his younger years, he started collecting cars, a practice that continued though his adult life. Roy was preceded in death by one child, his daughter, Ciera, and his grandparents.
Roy leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving wife, Kristal, two daughters, Myretha Jeanett "Pooh, Sharonda "Baby Sister," three sons Keiandre, Roy III "Man Man", Kristopher, all of Tulsa, OK., his parents Roy Lyons, Sr. and Myretha J. Lyons, Haskell, OK., one sister, Carolyn Mason (Dewayne) Tulsa, OK., one niece, Meashalik Mason, two nephews Dwayne Mason, Jr. and Anthony Mason, Tulsa, OK., and a caravan of other relatives and friends.
