Mr. Roy Antoine Teague, Sr., in his 63rd year, joined his Ancestors in Glory on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from his home.
On November 15, 1960, Roy T. Teague, Jr., and Diana Tiny (Davis) Teague celebrated the birth of a baby boy in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was given the name Roy Antoine Teague. Better known as "Antoine" or "Twonny" by family and friends, Antoine grew up in Muskogee, where he attended Cherokee Elementary School, West Junior High School, and Muskogee High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1979. He furthered his education at Northeastern State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree and graduated from Northeastern with the
Class of 1984.
Mr. Teague was a loyal and dedicated brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and enjoyed the brotherhood. He worked as a parole officer for 21 years for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Parole Division, before his retirement. After his retirement, he moved back to Oklahoma,
where he settled back in Muskogee. He remained active as a substitute teacher for eight years for the Muskogee public schools.
In his 63rd year of life, Roy Antoine Teague, Sr., passed from life to everlasting rest on March 21, 2024, from his home in Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy T. Teague, Jr.; mother, Diana Tiny Teague; paternal grandfather, Roy T. Teague, Sr.; paternal grandmother,Juanita Teague; maternal grandfather, David B. Davis; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Goudeau- Davis; as well as other relatives who have gone before him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Children: Aaron Grey, Alexia Grey, Roy Antoine Teague, Jr., Rashea Teague Grandchildren: Cameron Thomas (20), Kennedi Teague (18), Chloe Thomas (14), RyAnn Teague (11), Kaydence Teague (5) Siblings (sisters): Michelle Thompson & Gerri Lynn Teague, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins and friends.
Service of Remembrance for Mr. Teague will be on Saturday, March 30, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM in the most holy sanctuary of the Antioch Temple of Hope, 500 West Broadway. Dr. Marlon J. Coleman, Sr., is the gracious host, and Apostle Ron Venters, Sr., Pastor of Christ's Kingdom Builders Ministry, Officiating.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
Visitation will be on Friday between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
There will be a Repast at the Muscogee Indian Community Center located at 335 N. 4th Street, Muskogee, Ok, after the burial.
