The oldest of 2 daughters born to the late Rev. George S. and Eliza M. [Nave] Tillman was born in Sioux City, Iowa on Nov. 14, 1942. She was raised and attended school there and also met Donald Johnson, of Des Moines, Iowa there, whom she married. They moved to Rock Island, Illinois and their union was blessed with a daughter and a son. Later, the family moved to Denver, Colorado, where she and her children lived until moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ruby and her daughter moved to Muskogee in 2007 to be closer to family because of her health. She gave her life to Christ many years ago and was a very caring and loving person. She loved to cook and give to friends and neighbors.

After 69 years with us, Ruby Georgetta Johnson, left this life on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from Muskogee. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George W. Nave and Ruby [Nave] Spearman; her paternal grandparents Charlie and Reine Tillman; her father, her son, Ruben J. Johnson, her nephew, David J. Tillman and her brother-in-law, Billy R. Fields, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory; her daughter, Rachel R. Johnson; her mother, Evangelist Eliza Tillman; her sister, Stella Fields; her nephew, Joseph [Angel] Tillman; her niece, Eliza Fields; her uncle, Rev. Paul Nave; along with other relatives and friends.
