Rudolph Paul Gouthier, Sr., passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Rudolph was born on August 28, 1930 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to John Gouthier, Sr., and Viola [Barre] Gouthier. Rudolph lived a quiet life defined by hard work, faith and service to others. He married the love of his life, Cleo Mary Cazenave on December 27, 1950 and together with their five children, they were blessed with many wonderful years prior to her passing on September 10, 2025.
Rudolph was employed at Ball Brothers Glass Plant, retiring after 37 plus years while also forming lasting friendships with coworkers. He also served on the Ball Brothers Credit Union Board. Retirement allowed him to devote more time to his passion, including his family. Church, ranching and other hobbies. Whether tending cattle, gardening or making property repairs, he was always willing to give generously of his time and talents with helping others. He was a man of various talents, passing down his numerous craftsmanship skills to his son and grandsons
Mr. Gouthier was an active member of Uganda Martyr’s Catholic Church, serving on the Finance Council and Men’s Club. He was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council #55 and is the longest serving member of this organization in the State of Oklahoma, with over 70 years of service. HE was the recipient of the Silver Medal of Merit Award in 1998 for his outstanding and Significant contributions to his church and community. Rudolph and Cleo left an impact on their children and grandchildren, teaching them the values of hard work, integrity, faith and compassion that will continue to live on through generations.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cleo; his parents; his siblings, Earl Nedd, Cecile Wilson, Marvel Williams, Gladys Humphries, Matthew Gouthier and Erma Jean Cazenave.
Mr. Gouthier is survived by his children, Carolyn [Gary] Calip, Pat Wilson [Sukarno Grant], Rudolph [Sandy] Jr., {Rose] Gouthier, Louise Porter and Jacqueline Lyons, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Mark Dungee, Kenny [Kendell] LeBlanc, Ashley Gouthier, Kristen Gouthier, Lauren [Steve] Fisher and Colby Porter; his great-grandchildren, Chelsea [Shada] Arterberry, Keith and Kash Dungee, Irie and Lowen LeBlanc, Oritse Ogisi and Harper Metcalf; his brothers, Charles Gouthier, John [Jean] Gouthier, Jr.; his sister-in-law, Mildred Dalcour; a very special friend, Anthony Reagan; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass for Mr. Gouthier will commence on Monday morning, December 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Uganda Martyr’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow the service in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery
You may visit Mr. Gouthier, as he slumbers in peaceful repose in the Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Okmulgee on Sunday between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church.
