Rudolph Hutton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born in Huttonville, Oklahoma on May 10, 1929 to Ferdinand and Ophelia [Simon] Hutton, the third child born to this union.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. Rudolph attended school in Huttonville until his family relocated to Eufaula, where he attended Booker T. Washington.
In 1946, Rudolph decided to join the military and after serving in the United States Army, he was honorably discharged. Mr. Hutton then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he began to work for the Mayo Hotel until moving to Kansas. In 1957, Rudolph left Kansas and moved to Louisiana, where he resided until Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. He then relocated to Checotah, Oklahoma, with his wife, Josephine. He then began to attend Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Checotah until his health began to fail. His Health continued to decline, so he became a resident of Eastgate Village Retirement Center.
Rudolph's loved ones that preceded him in death were his parents, Ferdinand and Ophelia Hutton, his step-parents, Ester and Ben Perry, two sisters, Maddie Lou and Delores and a niece, Vacie Nunley.
Those left to celebrate his life and treasure his memories; his wife of 17 years, Josephine Wells Hutton;; a daughter, Sherrie; five step-children, DeMonn, Deneen, Edward, Willie and Daryln; two grandchildren, Sherrieka, and Anessa; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Nolan; all of New Orleans, Louisiana; a brother, Fred [Rosie] Hutton, Checotah, Oklahoma; two special cousins, George Hutton and Rudolph Hutton; and a caravan of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
The Service of Memory will be on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the New Hope Baptist Church of Huttonville, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery at Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma at 12 Noon.
