Mr. Rudolph Richardson, age 55 and a resident of Beggs, Oklahoma formerly of Okmulgee, went from life to eternity on Monday, July 10, 2006 from Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.
On January 13, 1951, Leon and Lillie Mae [Hayes] Richardson were blessed with a beautiful, baby boy, whom they named Rudolph Richardson. Better known as "Rudy" to family and friends, Rudolph attended Okmulgee Public Schools, including Historic Dunbar High School before graduating from Okmulgee High School Class of 1969.
Rudolph joined Greater Jones Zion AME Church in Okmulgee. Later in life, he joined Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church in Beggs until his health failed him.
Rudolph worked for Rogers Galvanizing Company of Tulsa for over twenty years. He loved all sports, which was his favorite past-time. He was a devoted husband and father and will be miss by all who knew him.
He met and married Marie Antwine and remained together for Thirty-two years. Four children were blessed into this union.
Rudolph was preceded in death by his son, Wayne; his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
He leaves in God's care; his loving wife, Alice Marie, of the home in Beggs, Oklahoma; his sons, Jermaine La'Rone, Derreck Lee, Dominic, Quinton and Trentin; a devoted daughter, Michelle A. Richardson, Sapulpa, Oklahoma;two brothers, Charlie "Jim" and Deborah Richardson and Harvey Richardson, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Susie Crawford, Stella James, Joyce and James Hill, all of Okmulgee; two aunts, Varicie Evans, Kansas City, Missouri and Odessa Andrews, Salt Lake City, Utah; along with a host of ther relatives and friends.
The final hour will be shared on Saturday morning, July 15, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church-South, of Beggs. Dr. Maurice Williams is the gracious host Pastor and Reverend Gregory Richardson will officiate. Burial will follow in New Post Oak Cemetery in Beggs.
