Mr. Rush Ronnie Anderson was called from this life by our Lord, Jesus Christ on October 4, 2007. Our Lord met Ronnie at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa on Thursday afternoon and took him on this journey to begin a great celebration.
Ronnie began the book of life on July 9, 1942, the son Lucille Goudeau Anderson Hardeman and the late John P. Anderson, Sr. Ronnie's life ended after 65 years and he was of the Catholic Faith.
The late Geneva Jenny Dalcour goudeau, his grandmother, partially raised him and his brother, Johnnie. While living in Okmulgee, he attended Bannaker School and the Historic Dunbar High School.
He moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1957 and attended Cleveland Junior High School and graduated from Pershian High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country honorably. He was a tank driver and was discharged in 1964. While still living in Detroit, Ronnie was employed with Chrysler and also General Motors.
He met and married a young lady by the name of Brenda Joyce Smith. Each later went their separate way. No children were born from this union.
Ronnie and the late Sandra Taylor were the proud parents of a beautiful daughter, Aundra Anderson. She gave him nine [9] grandchildren, six boys and three girls.
He returned to Oklahoma in 2004 to be with his mother when she had hip surgery. He went back to Detroit in 1999 and lived there until September 25, 2006, then returning to Oklahoma to live.
Preceding his transition were his grandparents, Geneva Dalcour Goudeau, Rush goudeau, Walter Anderson, Sr., and Gracella Anderson; along with other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Continuing his legacy of love and devotion; his daughter, Aundra Henderson and husband, Anthony; his grandchildren, Anthony, Angelia, Arianna, Adrian, Ashley, Aaron, Avery, Andreau and Amir Henderson, all of Detroit, Michigan; his mother, Lucille Goudeau Hardeman, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; a brother, John P. Anderson, Jr., and friend Elizabeth; a sister, Patricia Anderson, of Detroit, Michigan; two uncles, Walter Anderson, Jr., and wife Yvette, Haskell, Oklahoma, and Teddy Allen, Sr., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Peace at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee.
