Obituary

Ms. Sabrina Lanette Hitchye, age 37 and a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, "traded earth for Glory" on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from Tulsa.

On October 15, 1972, a baby girl was born to Herbert Hitchye and Jackie Reed. They named her Sabrina Lanette and she was the oldest of three girls.

Sabrina accepted Christ into her life at an early age at Saint Mark Baptist Church in Muskogee. Her education began in Muskogee, in the public school system and continued at Connors State College.

She was employed with Volunteers of America, serving as a House Manager. Sabrina had a warm and compassionate heart. She possessed a calling for working with people who had special needs. In her professional capacity, she was a strong advocate for individuals that she worked for and with.

Sabrina was a very good mother to her two boys and she loved them very much. They were her life and she worked hard to provide for them both. Family was important to her and this was clearly evident through her strength as a mother and woman. She was very independent out-going, cheerful and loving. Sabrina was always willing to help, but most of all, she loved her family, especially through her close relationship with her sisters and brothers.

Her parents and step-mother played an important part in her life. She had so much love to give-her smile would light up a room, her laughter would make you smile and she will truly be missed.

The loved ones who preceded her home; her grandparents, ruby and Claude Hitchye, her aunts and uncles, Claudia Ashley, Floyd Feton, Rudolphy Hitchye and her brother-in-law, Jason Woodfaulk.

Those that wait on the Lord and cherish her memory; her sons, Dalil Hitchye and Jared Lopes; her mother, Jackie King; her father and step-mother, Herbert and Linda Hitchye; three sisters, Tonya Hitchye, Tiffany Woodfaulk and Trebreh Hitchye; three brothers, Chris Brown, Alex and Troy Kimble; her grandparents, Virgil and Georgia Reed; her special friend, Keithon Hawkins; and a caravan of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the St. Mark Baptist Church. Rev. Ray Pickett, is the gracious host Pastor and Rev. James Brewer, Sr., Pastor of Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Tulsa, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee.

You may visit Sabrina, as she slumbers is sweet repose at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM to 6 pm.
