Mr. Samuel Palmer, after 80 years here on Earth gained his Heavenly wings.
Samuel was born on December 25, 1938. He was the first child of the twin boys born to Cottrell and Maggie Palmer. Growing up he was nicknamed "Elvis" because of his sideburns and his love of the guitar.
Samuel graduated from Carter G. Woodson High School in Tullahassee, OK.
He was married to his soulmate Alvertta Wells for 48 years. And to this union sprung five children.
Sam was employed at the City of Tulsa and ONG where he retired. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored. Sam like to joke and socialize with friends and family. He enjoyed taking fishing trips, bar-b-quing, gardening.
Sam was proceeded in death by both parents (Maggie and Cottrell), two brothers (Dan Adolph and Connie Lopez).
He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Alvertta, his daughters: Mariah of Memphis TN, Vara of Tulsa, OK, Caramelita of Tulsa, OK; and sons: Charles and ElRico both of Tulsa; 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. One sister; Phyllis Palmer Thomas of Ontario, CA., first cousin - Juande Ross and a host of other relatives and friends.
His services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11 AM at Kingdom of Faith & Deliverance COGIC in Tulsa.
