On August 27, 1954, Sandra Kaye Palmore-Terrell was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
At an early age she was relocated to Taft, Oklahoma, where she became family to DB & O. Sandra was raised by the late Albertine and A.V. King. She graduated from Taft Moton High School.
After high school, Sandra went on to successfully pass her board exams and become a licensed cosmetologist. Sandra became an employee of KMART, where she would eventually retire after serving the company so faithfully after 30 plus years. Sandra was no stranger to working and was a hard worker, as she easily held down three jobs at the same time. Sandra had the opportunity to work at Church's Chicken, where she was given the name "Chicken Lady" and spent 18 years rendering customer service to the community.
Sandra was known by the family to speak her mind with her words, especially when you got out of line. Throughout the years, Sandra became a sister, aunt and friend to many families in Muskogee: Jackson Family of Boynton, Engram Family, Cole Family, Givens Family and so many others.
Sandra will always be remembered as one of the South Side Spades playing dominos playing OG's.
Ms. Sandra Kaye Terrell, after "Three-score and Ten years with us," received her rest on Sunday afternoon, November 17, 2024 from Tulsa, Oklahoma
Preceding her in death are her husband, Darell Terrell as they were happily married until his untimely death.
Sandra is survived by her children, Christopher (Brittani) of Tulsa, Ok, Antonio of Muskogee, Rodney (Christi) of Texas, and Darrell Jr.; her siblings and close friends; 19 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; her special friend Ms. Karen who dedicated her patience, time and love while looking after Sandra who is always one call away. Along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A time to celebrate and share in remembering the life of Sister Sandra will commence on Sunday, with the opportunity to visit her, as she slumbers in sweet repose in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
The Funeral ceremony will commence at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 25, 2024 in the most holy sanctuary of the Antioch Temple of Hope,500 West Broadway Avenue in Muskogee, with her Pastor, Dr. Marlon J. Coleman presiding.
Her time with us culminates with the Christian Committal and burial in the sacred grounds of the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in. Muskogee.
