Obituary

On January 12, 1977, the late Marvin Smith, Sr. and Sandra Cobb were blessed with a daughter they named, Shakera Wynetta Cobb, in Oklahoma City, OK. At the age of 4, Shakera, her mom and 4 brothers moved to Okmulgee, OK where Shakera started kindergarten at Banica Kindergarten School. She then attended Westside Elementary for 1st through 5th grade where she gained LOTS of friends. Shakera accepted Christ at the age of 7 at Church House of Prayer under the leadership of Pastor Gladis Hunt. While there she served as a lead soloist in the choir. She also sang in the choir while attending Okmulgee Middle School. She attended Okmulgee High school, where she also sang in the choir, became a cheerleader, participated in track and cross country and also played basketball. Shakera and her family then moved to Tulsa, OK where she attended a year at Central High School, eventually graduating from McClain High School in 1996. Staying close to her love of singing, she sang in the school choir at both schools. Shakera loved singing so much that during her teenage years, she was a member of 3 singing groups. After high school graduation, for 1 year she went on to NEO in Miami, OK, where she was a flag girl. After leaving NEO she worked for Get and Go convenience store.

In May 1997 she gave birth to her beautiful daughter, DeAndrea Cobb, and shortly after opened her own daycare center named Miracle Daycare. In December 2000 she gave birth to her handsome son Jalen Bull. In 2002 she married Donald Bull. Shortly after getting married, she closed her daycare and began working for David L. Moss County Jail in Tulsa, OK. A few years later Shakera and Donald divorced. When she left the county jail, she worked for IC Bus where she built school buses. In 2005, she moved to Memphis, TN with her children. After various jobs, in 2010 she began working for FedEx and also received her Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Remington College. A few years later she transferred her employment with FedEx to Southaven, MS. While in Southaven she continued her education and received her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Shakera decided she wanted to move back home to Tulsa, where she continued her employment with FedEX. While in Tulsa, she met and Married Athony Richards. In 2016, Shakera, Anthony and their children moved to Irving, TX, a suburb of Dallas. Shakera remained an employee of FedEx through her illness and until shortly before her passing.

In 2020, Shakera became a member of Steel Heels Alluring Ladies of Dallas, TX, where she was eventually appointed Treasurer. Through her membership with Steel Heels, she gained an abundance of sisters and close friends that loved her dearly. As a member of Steel Heels, she was affectionately known as KuttNUp, a name she gave herself, but definitely describes her personality and character. Shakera had a great amount of love for her childhood and life long sister friends in Oklahoma, particularly in Okmulgee, OK. The Okmulgee crew. They created so many memories and enjoyed traveling together, creating a history of endless adventures together filled with laughter and love.

In 2022 Shakera and Anthony divorced, but remained very close friends until she went to be with the Lord.
