Ms. Sharee Novell Mims-Whitfield, in her 55th season of life, transitioned from earth to everlasting on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Born in the Bronx, New York to Robert E. and Lydia R. Mims, Sister Sharee grew up and attended school in New York, where she graduated from Walter High School. She attended college before deciding to settle down and start her family.
Shortly thereafter, she decided to move to Oklahoma with her 2 children, where she married and gave birth to her 3rd child. After moving to Muskogee, she accepted Christ into her life, was baptized and united with the Evangelist Temple Baptist Church.
She worked in the health care industry as a Nurse Aid before becoming disabled. In spite of her disabilities, she would always greet you with a smile and a sweet spirit. She will be missed by those who loved her.
Sister Sharee leaves behind her son, a daughter and 12 grandchildren; her loving companion, Pat Rucker; other relatives and friends.
Her Hour of Remembrance will be shared on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Believers Christian Fellowship Church, Okmulgee Avenue & Eastside Boulevard.
Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery at Oktaha, Oklahoma.
