Obituary

On January 24, 1954, Robert and Mary Lou Parks were blessed with a beautiful baby girl whom they named Sharon Louise. She was the third child born into their loving family.

At an early age, Sharon accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lee D. Moore, and later Pastor Vanzelen Brown, where she nurtured a lifelong faith that remained the foundation of her life.

Sharon attended the Historic Manual Training High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and proudly graduated with the Class of 1973.Sharon lived a life defined by kindness, strength, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. She possessed a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether through a listening ear, a warm smile, or a heartfelt embrace, Sharon had a way of bringing comfort to those who were hurting and joy to every celebration. Her generous spirit, quiet strength, and selfless love left an unforgettable impression on all who knew her.Family was the center of Sharon's world. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to those she loved, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional support. She found her greatest happiness in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow, creating precious memories that will be treasured forever.

On July 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, Sharon Louise peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 72. While our hearts are filled with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that she has been welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior. Her faith has become sight, and she now rests in perfect peace.

Sharon leaves to cherish her precious memory her former husband, Alex Sr.; her beloved children, Tiffany (Lewis), Alex Jr., and LaToya; her brothers, Robert Jr., Roger (Marilyn), Eric (Sonya), and the cherished memory of her late brother, Gilbert; her sisters, Flossie and Marilyn; her six beloved grandchildren, Shariah, Kiren (Tatiana), Shamaurri, LaMauria, LaTonya, and Omari; and her four treasured great-grandchildren, KaTrina, Jherzee, Kennedi, and Ja'Mir, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love.Though Sharon's physical presence is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in every lesson she taught, every prayer she offered, every act of kindness she extended, and every life she touched. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, and the countless ways she made the world a better place simply by being in it.

"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23
