Kaye was born September 5, 1956 to Glen and Christine Norton of Clearview, OK. She was their 8th child. Kaye went to Clearview school up to 8th grade and graduated high school from Weleetka in 1974. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses Sept 5, 1970. She took up the full time ministry in 1980 and went to pioneer school in May of 1981. She spent many hours teaching others the Bible, this was something she dearly loved. She attended Okemah congregation, Valley Park of Tulsa, NW English of Tulsa and many others. Her last congregation was the Sapulpa Congregation. During her illness, the congregation showed true brotherly love to her with their frequent visits at the Arbor Village Nursing Home where she lived for 11 years.
Kaye always loved caring for people. This love motivated her to go to nursing school. Her scores for state board test was the highest in the state. Her love for caring for others showed in her nursing skills, She would buy, (out her pocket) lotions, chapsticks, soaps, powders, and nail polishes for the client she served. For many years, she nursed in different states. Her career ending due to illness. During her illness she became a resident at Arbor Village Nursing Home where she was loved by the staff.
Other hobbies of Kaye’s was cooking, homemaking, and enjoying her family and friends. She really enjoyed make-up.
She is preceded in death by her parents Glen and Christine Norton, four brothers: Milton, Clemmie, Clinton, and Alvin. And one sister Joyce Denise Barnes.
She is survived by five sisters : Zeta Faye Harris ( husband Charles) Gwendolyn Gordon, Brinda Embery (husband Wayne), Vanessa Brown ( husband Anthony ), Valarie Settle ( husband Dwayne). Two brothers: Glen Norton Jr. and Dewayne Norton ( wife Corina ), and one Aunt Gloria Dean Bennett. She is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends
The Memorial will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Northwest English Congregation 2626 North Lewis Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma at 1:00pm on Tuesday April 21st, 2026.
You may deliver Floral Arrangements Monday, April 20th between the hours of 10am-5pm. Ms. Ward cremation is under the auspices of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. - Tulsa.
