IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shawn Dwight
Wartson
March 6, 1991 – June 17, 2022
In Muskogee, Oklahoma, a baby boy was born March 6th, 1991. The oldest son of Nashelle Wartson and Shawn Stancle. They named him Shawn Dwight Wartson.
Shawn attended both Cherokee and Pershing Elementary in Muskogee during his formative years. His middle school days were spent at West Junior High School. He would later obtain his GED.
Shawn was very outgoing and very friendly. He was loved by everyone whom he met and he never met a person who he didn't like.
Shawn also had a deep infinitive love for his family. They meant everything to him. He loved joking and playing around, especially with his grandmothers. Always making them laugh.
He treasured his friendships, too, especially his lifelong friendship with LiL' Tommy Dean.
And then there are the ones that Shawn absolutely adored. They meant the world to him: his mother and his two children.
Sha'Miah, his only daughter, who he referred to as his "Little Princess." Damarion, his only son, who he lovingly called, "My Little One."
In the short 31 years that Shawn had on this earth, He was blessed to experience the affection of his children, the blessing of being a father, the
love of being a big brother, the gift of true friendship, the unending love of a caring and devoted mother, and the precious gift of a loving family.
All are the truest treasures of a life well-lived.
On June 17th, 2022, Shawn would pack up the treasures of his heart and take them with him to his new home. Shawn was preceded in death but has now been reunited with his father, Shawn Stancle, brother, DaVanta Wartson, and nephew, Elijah Pearson. Remaining to cherish his precious memory: his two beautiful children, daughter, Sha'Miah Wartson, and son, Damarion Jones, both of Muskogee; loving mother and stepfather, Nashelle Wartson and Wendel Smith of Muskogee; nieces, Mia Pearson and Alina Cabrera; other siblings, Shariah Rodriguez, Nartia Smith, Virginia Rodriguez, Timothy Smith, Micah Smith, and Marques Smith; grandparents, Adline Wartson Tulsa, Sammie and Margo Stanford of Muskogee, Linda Stancle of Muskogee, Dwight McDaniel, and Geneva Smith, all of Muskogee; great-grandmother, Daisy McDaniel; aunts, Jessie Mae Wartson, Marshell Allen, Ronda Tyson, LaMecia McDaniel, and Donna McDaniel; uncles, Robert, Josephus, and Stefano Wartson, Sammie Stanford, Jr., John Tyson, Michael Allen, Garrett, Dwight, and Steven McDaniel, and Derrick Edwards; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
