IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherry Lynette
Henderson
July 6, 1966 – August 15, 2020
On July 6, 1966, a beautiful baby girl was born to Shirley Ann Turner Walker and Lana Walker. They named her Sherri Lynette. She was the oldest of 4 children born to this union.
Sherri Attended Muskogee Public School, graduating from the class of 1984. She later moved to Tulsa where she was managed several Cafeterias in the Tulsa Public School systems.
Sherri work tirelessly to support her sons, Darren and Aaron. She was a wonderful mother mostly working 2 jobs providing for all their needs. She spent many hours of quality time with her sons when they were younger. She always supported their interest. She would take them, her sibling's children and her younger cousins all on outings like the zoo. Sherri made all of their friends feel welcome. She never met a stranger.
Even with her failing health, Sherri took on the role of raising her granddaughter, Learra. Even when she couldn't take Learra or attend events with her, Sherri made sure she was able to go. Aunt Nedra and Aunt Montenette were there standing in the gap. Sherri loved and adored Learra and her grandson Acelyn. She did whatever she could for them.
Sherri was a wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter sister, niece, and friend. You could always count on her to give a listening ear or advise if you ask for it. She was a counselor to many in need.
On August 15, 2020, Sherri transitioned from this world into an eternal rest at Stroud Medical Center, in Stroud, Oklahoma.
