Shirley Ann Samuels was born on June 14, 1951 to the proud parents of Sherman Leon Samuels and Roberta Delores Barker-Samuels.  Shirley grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Tulsa Public Schools where she graduated from Tulsa Central Braves Class of 1970.

Shirley scriptural foundation started at St. John Missionary Baptist Church which carried throughout her life. For the last several years she attended Church of the Gospel under Pastor Alfred Humphrey. Praise was her WEAPON!

Shirley worked and raised her family, she was a mother of three children. Daughter Talisa Samuels (deceased), sons Ronald Cole (Anita) and Marrico Cole (Jana) and she loved all her grandchildren.

She loved to dress a DIVA you could say, she also loved to sing which these were her favorite things to do. Her famous pound cake and butter rolls where amazing, she made them for her family & friends often.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Sherman Leon Samuels and Roberta Delores Hardy, her grandparents, her husband Edward Greer, daughter Talisa Samuels, granddaughter Ashley Hopkins; brothers Donald Ray Samuels, Jesse Hardy, Morris Samuels, sisters Alice Bae Fields, LeAnn Samuels, Lucilla Samuels, and her favorite niece Lakisa Nicole Brown.

Services for Ms. Greer will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
