Shirley Ann (McClellan) Rose was born on March 24, 1950, in Mounds, Oklahoma, to Levon Sr., and Evelyn McClellan. She was the eighth child born of 10 children. Shirley attended public school at Liberty Mound in Mounds, Oklahoma, from the 1st grade to the 12th grade.

After graduating from high school in 1970, she got married and started working as a CNA. She had three sons: Jeffery, Michael, and Timothy. God knew to give her sons, and she was able to keep them in check! She worked several years with Verizon and retired from there. She worked with United Health Care and eventually returned to school to earn her Bachelor's degree in Education at Amberton University in Garland, Texas.

Shirley had an infectious smile and could light up a room when she walked in. She was a faithful member of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, until her health began to fail her. She served on the Usher Board, sang in the choir, worked with seniors, and welcomed new members to the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Levon and Evelyn McClellan; son: Jeffery McClellan; brothers: Charles McClellan and Melvin McClellan; and sisters: Mary Katherine McClellan, Darlene Washington, and Betty Pighee.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories: sons: Michael Rose Jr., of Rowlett, TX, and Timothy Rose (Alessa) of Irving, TX; brothers: Freddie Heath of Los Angeles, CA, Levon McClellan Jr. (Charles Ann) of Bixby, OK, Donnie McClellan Sr., of Boynton, OK; sister: Joyce Faye Grant of Okmulgee, OK; grandsons: Timothy Michael McClellan, Daniel Rose, Jeremiah Rose, and Timothy Rose Jr.; granddaughters: McKinze McAlister (Kristian), Vanessa  Rose; two great-granddaughters: Amira Bassett and Savannah McAlister; two longtime best friends: Lavern Montgomery and
Thelma Figgs; and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Shirley Ann McClellan Rose, transitioned to eternity with her Lord on January 27, 2020, in Carrollton, Texas.

You may visit Shirley on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 1 PM to 6 PM in the Tulsa Chapel.

Services are currently scheduled for Mrs. Rose on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Tulsa Chapel.

Burial will immediately follow the services at Snake Creek Cemetery in Bixby, Oklahoma.
