"Her" Story
Shortly before the official beginning of winter, a fresh flower blossomed into the lives of Edward and Thelma Scott. On December 18, 1964, Sondia Rena was first introduced not to only her loving parents, but to the world in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She accepted Christ at the tender age of 12. Raised in Tulsa, she graduated from the Historic Booker T. Washington High School with the esteemed class of 1983. She then journeyed to Roberts Training Center and became a licensed cosmetologist. She worked six years in Dallas. One of her many achievements was being the owner and manager of Sondia's House of Style.
Sondia loved life! She enjoyed cooking, decorating, talking on the phone with her best fried, her mom, and being with family and friends. Shopping was also her passion. She enjoyed finding bargains on everything.
Sondia finished her race early on the morning of Thursday November 18, 2010. Remaining to uphold a lifetime of cherished memories: her loving husband, Michael Harris, her mother Thelma, and father Edward, step-children: Michael DeShawn, Anthony LaMond, Matthew Detroit, Kelan LaJohn, Justin Troy, sisters: Debra Scott-Taylor (Ken), Donna Scott, Monica Graham (Kavon), Tamara Scott, brothers: Edward Scott, III (Betty), Dale Scott (Lynn), Tony Scott (Mary Rose), sister in-law, Joyce McClure, and a host of other family members. She will also be greatly missed by her poodle Jada and her yorkie Prince.
Services for Sondia "Rena" Scott-Harris will commence on Saturday November 27, 2010 at 10AM at Greater Grace Church in Tulsa. Friends may visit her as she slumbers in The All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa on Friday from 10AM-7PM.
