It was an extraordinaire special day in 1973, on April 28, in Beeville, Texas for Robert Mahone, Sr. and Evelyn Hardeman Mahone. It was extra because of the birth of a precious gift from God. Stacy was the youngest of four siblings born from that union.
Early in her life the family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma. As she grew up in Muskogee, she attended the Muskogee Public Schools throughout grade school where she graduated with the class of 1990.
Stacy then went on to attend Langston University and received an Associate Degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College in Miami, Oklahoma. She furthered her education receiving a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Stacy excelled academically and was on the Honor Roll throughout her entire education. She received many certifications within her profession allowing her to excel in her occupation.
Stacy has dedicated over fifteen years of employment with the State of Oklahoma. She has worked with the Oklahoma State Department of Human Services and Oklahoma State Department of Corrections. At the time God called her home, Stacy was employed with the Oklahoma State Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Stacy was passionate about demonstrating the love for the Underprivileged, serving her community, and the State of Oklahoma. She was certain that she was fulfilling her God given calling of serving the Hopeless by giving them HOPE; from Pain to Passion, from Hurt to Healing and from Brokenness to Wholeness. She cherished her job of helping others and was very loyal and organized. She had many faithful friends and co-workers that she grew with from year to year.
Stacy dedicated her life to Christ at an early age becoming a member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (Muskogee, OK) under the Tutelage of Reverend Lee D. Moore and later Pastor Vanzelen G. Brown, Sr. under his leadership. She was very active in the Youth Department, Youth Choir, Sunday school and other organizations. She recently expressed and thanked her Aunt Mary Hardridge and Sister Joann Hughes for their leadership as Youth Advisors during her youthful years. They helped her in her walk with Christ as she learned the BIBLE and focused on her relationship with God.
Stacy later became a member of the G.A.T.E. Fellowship Church under the Apostle of Pamela Vinnett. In 2006 Stacy was called to give a greater level of service and was consecrated Ordained as Pastor over Evangelism. She received her Ordination as a Pastor and a Teacher. Stacy was a strong woman of God and didn't mind letting you know about her Great Faith in God.
On January 4th, 2015 at 7:00 a.m., with her Mom and Pops present at her side, God called Stacy home to rest in Victory. Until the very end, Stacy fought with all her might for more time to love and to serve. She truly fought a good fight of faith and finished her course. Preceding her in death was her Maternal and Paternal grandparents, her special Nephew "L.J." Lester Mahone – Maxwell.
Stacy leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory: a loving, faithful and supportive mother, Evelyn Epperson and her "Pops" (Charley), Father, Robert Mahone Sr. (Mary), Sister, Charlotte Mahone, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brothers: Rayford Mahone (Jessica) of Mandan, North Dakota, Tracy Mahone (Stephanie) of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Step Siblings: Tammy Cook, Michael Mahone, and Robert Mahone Jr., a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many family and friends.
