On September 1, 2010, Stella Louise James crossed over into eternity with all of the dignity and courage that was characterized throughout her life. She fought a good fight and kept the faith. Stella was born November 22, 1946 to the late and Leon Richardson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Hayes Richardson. Stella attended Okmulgee Public Schools, and graduated from the historic Dunbar High School with the class of 1964. She accepted Christ at an early age. Stella was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was employed at Ball Brothers Company for many years, and also worked in the nursing profession until the decline of her health.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Nail Marie Richardson, two brothers: Leon Richardson, Jr., and Rudolph Richardson. She leaves to forever cherish her precious moments and memories: her beloved family: one son, Michael James (Angela) Okmulgee, OK., daughter, Machelle James, Owasso, OK., two sisters: Susie Crawford and Joyce Hill (James) both of Okmulgee, OK., two brothers: Jimmy Richardson (Debra), Tulsa, OK., and Harvey Richardson, Okmulgee, OK., the pride and joy of her life: her seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, two aunts, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The Final Tribute will be Saturday September 11, 2010 at 11AM at Eastside Baptist Church. Friends may visit her as she rests on Friday from 10AM to 6PM.
